Tile Flooring

Tile Flooring can be excellent for rooms that get a lot of use or high traffic areas. There is an extensive range of Tile Flooring on the market today making the choice difficult for may home renovators. If you do find you are overwhelmed with the variety of tiles available it may be adviseable to consult an interior designer before making a final decision.

Designing with Tile Flooring offers endless possibilities with a selection from:-

Ceramic Tiles -  are a natural product made from clay and a variety of other naturally occuring minerals and water, they come in both glazed and un-glazed and a large variety of colors and textures.

Porcelain Tiles  -  very similar to the ceramice tile they are fired at extreme temperatures, making them even harder than granite. They are available in matt, un-glazed or a high polished finish.

Quarry Tiles  -  made from natural clay or shale in either glazed or un-glazed. Most commonly in shades of gray, brown or dark red.

Marble Tiles  -  this natural tone is expensive and needs to be installed with car. Professionals have the knowledge and proper techniques to achieve the perfect marble flooring that will last a lifetime.

Mosiac Tiles  -  a small tile of around two inches or smaller usually pre-mounted on paper sheets or mesh for ease of laying, but can also be installed individually.

Saltillo Tiles  -  these are air dried rather than by kiln, and are slightly softer and less durable than most other tiles, but due to the fact that they are dried by the sun they do have a very unique appearance.

Terrazzi Tiles  -  marble and/or stone chips embedded in cement making them very durable with a polished surface.

Whatever Tile Flooring you decide on you can be confident that it will compliment any existing carpet or hardwood flooring already in your house.
